At ARS Advertising, LLC, we take data privacy very seriously and are committed to good privacy practices regarding private data. We believe in transparency and are upfront about our privacy practices, including how we treat personal and client information. We collect personal and non-personal data through our products and services, directly or in conjunction with our business clients. We design our products and services with privacy and data protection as key principles and have created this Privacy Statement to describe and explain our data collection practices. ARS Advertising, LLC is a technology-enabled marketing services firm. We work tirelessly to build a legacy of outstanding service, expertise, and integrity, going above and beyond to ensure our clients spend their marketing dollars smarter. We work with many different companies to provide a variety of products and services.
Information Products
ARS Advertising, LLC hosts and maintains various third-party data on behalf of our clients. When ARS Advertising, LLC provides data products to our clients we adhere to the terms and conditions defined by the third-party suppliers of such data.
We may use Google Analytics and other partners for the following purposes:
Remarketing (showing our ads on third party websites) and other forms of interest-based advertising. ARS Advertising, LLC does not gather cookies from visitors to their website, but third-party vendors, including Google, collect and use cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on someone’s past visits to our website and the websites of our third-party vendors.
Google Display Network Impression Reporting. ARS Advertising, LLC and third-party vendors, use cookies to report how our ad impressions, other uses of ad services and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to visits to our site and our third-party clients’ sites.
Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. ARS Advertising, LLC uses data from Google’s Interest-based advertising or third-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interests) with Google Analytics to inform our marketing strategy.
Personal Data We Collect About You
We collect personal and non-personal demographic data from a variety of sources. This information is collected through our business clients, depending on the product or service. In certain circumstances, we also gather other contact and demographic information from publicly available sources. “Personal data” or “personal information” means any information publicly available relating to a person that directly or indirectly allows us to identify such person.
We collect data provided by our clients and additional marketing data acquired from third party sources for analysis. We can collect both personally identifiable information (“PII”) and non-PII. We do NOT collect personal health information (“PHI”). PII and non-PII data can represent publicly available demographic and marketing information. Business clients of ARS Advertising, LLC are responsible for: Obtaining consent from the individuals prior to collecting personal information; Communicating with data subjects about their choices available to them with respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information; Communicating with data subjects on how the data collected is used, retained, and disposed.
How We Use Information We Collect
ARS Advertising, LLC’s business clients provide a variety of products and services to their customers and use ARS Advertising, LLC’s technologies to help process data relevant to those products and services. We use the information provided by our business clients in conjunction with the information we collect from publicly available sources. Information collected by our business clients or otherwise is subject to the data and privacy policies of these third parties and our business clients and such data collection and privacy policies are outside the scope of this Privacy Statement.
How We Share the Information We Collect
To provide products and services to our business clients, we may share personal and non-personal publicly available information to run effective marketing campaigns for our clients. Other than the business clients to whom we are providing the services requested, we do not share personal information with unaffiliated third parties without aggregating, anonymizing and/or de-identifying it first. If we combine personal information with the other information we collect, the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined. For all personal information that can reasonably be aggregated and/or anonymized, ARS Advertising, LLC will take steps to do so before sharing with unaffiliated third parties.
How We Secure Information We Collect
We safeguard your information, as follows: we use a variety of physical, technical, and administrative security measures that help to safeguard your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, or theft, including the use of encryption and other technology safeguards. It is important to keep in mind, however, that no security measures are effective. We also require third parties to protect information in accordance with our strict information security policies that align with generally accepted information security standards.
When required we ensure that we have data protection agreements in place with any service providers that we engage. We review our internal security policies and guidelines periodically to review new technology, methods, risks of processing the data, and the nature of the data being protected. We limit access to our databases containing personal data to authorized persons having a justified need to access such information. All personal data provided to us is stored on secure servers.
How We Retain Information We Collect
We store personal information for as long as necessary for us and our business clients to provide products and services, to comply with legal obligations, or to administer any product or service. We review our data retention policies periodically and comply with local legal requirements. Personal and client data collected by ARS Advertising, LLC is stored or processed in the United States.
Specific Information Related to Users in California
California Residents: California law permits its residents to request and receive information about a business’ disclosure of certain categories of personal information to other companies for their use in direct marketing.
